What is your go to self-care activity?
I love baking, going for a walk/run in the sun, or taking a bubble bath to boost my mood.
How has high school impacted your mental health?
While school has at times made my life quite stressful, it has also taught me the importance of managing my own mental health. I’ve learned that in order to learn and succeed in school, I need to take care of my own emotional and psychological health - I’ve found that giving myself a full night of solid sleep, for example, is WAY more worth it than the extra few hours of study time!

Social studies!

My favorite movie is King Richard, which tells the inspiring tennis story of the Williams family.

Something really important to maintaining my mental health has been managing my priorities. I feel like being able to put myself ahead of time constraints allows me to be more productive and function better.

How has high school impacted your mental health?
High school has connected me with so many people who have changed my life for the better, but social conflicts and the workload have, at times, pushed me to my limit. I've been forced to find effective means of managing stress!
Why is mental health important to you?
Mental health impacts everyone, whether they are aware or not. Due to the commonality I am passionate that people should have widespread and accessible care to improve their mental health, and as someone who has had issues with their mental health I would never want anyone to struggle or be blind to navigating it.
What’s one way you boost your mood when you’re feeling down?
Playing with my dog is always a go-to for a quick pick me up because his excitement and playfulness is quite infectious.
What is your favorite movie?
It definitely has to be both the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. I especially loved the beginning scene of the second movie because Baby Groot is in his own world, dancing around all the chaos, while finding his way around challenges and happily existing in his own world.

My go to self care activity is writing. I love any form, but my favorite kinds are journalism and poetry.
